Chef de Cuisine Chef de Cuisine Ping Yan Yeung
Born in China, Chef de Cuisine Yan Yeung began his career in Chung Shan then moved to Hong Kong, where he worked in several restaurants as a Wok Chef. On moving to Australia he worked in regional Victoria, before moving to Melbourne as sous chef at high calibre restaurants such as Flower Drum and Shark Fin restaurant. Yan Yeung joined Crown in 1996 as Chef de Cuisine of Mings restaurant, and moved to Crown’s Silks restaurant as Chef de Cuisine in February 2004.
“I have been cooking for so long because I simply love to cook fresh produce and make it into something delicious for my diners,” he says. “I love using the highest quality ingredients to ensure the outcome is an authentic Cantonese dish.”
